Viparis, European leader for conferences and trade fairs, has chosen Hub One, the digital technologies operator for businesses, to improve the hospitality afforded to visitors and exhibitors at its three main sites: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Palais des Congrès de Paris and Paris Nord Villepinte. Hub One has therefore deployed a private IoT* network and platform for conveying information from sensors spread throughout the Viparis installations, measuring temperature, lighting and visitor satisfaction.

Three Viparis sites – Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Palais des Congrès de Paris and Paris Nord Villepinte – every year receive several million visitors. Viparis is looking to increase its operational efficiency based on data from its buildings, and in this way to offer visitors and exhibitors the best possible comfort and hospitality. Backed by its know-how in IoT technology and its expertise in constrained environments, Hub One has been able to support and advise Viparis in optimising the feedback of information from its three sites.
Hub One has implemented a set of private antennas connected to the LoRaWAN network that it operates, for efficient feedback of a wide variety of information (temperature, lighting, visitor satisfaction). By means of a data display platform developed by Hub One, Viparis can now access all this information, prior to linking it all up in several months to its systems. Moreover, Hub One has advised Viparis on the choice of IoT sensors suited to the infrastructure and to the deployed LoRa network.
« We have already worked with Hub One in the past, and are delighted to be able to work together on a new project, » says François Guéno, transformation and innovation director at Viparis. « The solution proposed by Hub One allows us to guarantee optimum quality of service to visitors and exhibitors on our various sites, and perfectly meets our requirements. »
« Our expertise and our knowledge of complex environments have allowed us to adapt our solution to Viparis’ three main sites. We are proud to support them in underpinning their infrastructures in order to improve the comfort of visitors and exhibitors. This project demonstrates our capacity to adapt to all types of site, and to meet the expectations of our customers with bespoke solutions, » says Jean-Sébastien Mackiewicz, airport and IoT business line solutions director at Hub One.
