Hub One, provider of mobility and telecom services, has signed a contract with Auchan, the world’s 10th-largest retail group. The agreement relates to the VoiXtreme solution from Hub One, launched in 2012. With its robust design, this voice solution renders processes more reliable and is simplicity itself to use. In all, the project takes in seven Auchan warehouses, all equipped with 400 mobile terminals with VoiXtreme licences and the associated accessories.

The added value for the retail market offered by a multimodal approach can now be considered a given. Making communication with the warehouse management system possible via a set of media, warehouse processes using voice recognition witness a drop in error rates, along with improved productivity and performance. The VoiXtreme multimodal solution with its simple architecture optimises the precision of operations and also enables Auchan to make significant savings, in terms of both investments and operating costs.
Thanks to VoiXtreme, Auchan has been able to deploy rapid and real-time voice control for its order picking applications, already implemented in its WMS, via existing Telnet sessions. The new solution does not need to record the voiceprint of the operator, thereby simplifying its take-up.
« The VoiXtreme solution from Hub One allows us to envisage developing our order picking process by preparing orders for several clients simultaneously, or else further simplifying the transit preparation process, » declares Marc Lahousse, Regional Director, Supply & Logistics, Western Region, Auchan. « These developments should enable us to increase our efficiency still further. »

« This collaboration with Auchan consolidates our desire to simplify the daily working lives of professionals, » says Salvatore Cappaï, Director General of Hub One Mobility. « Aside from the price, we have been able to make a difference through the efficiency, flexibility and development capabilities of our solution, in particular with regard to « Put-to-Light »* ».
